Hello all,

I'm currently doing a little research into people's motivations & beliefs. I'm looking to gather information based upon a few simple questions.

*This survey was authorised by Springer*

There are 76,176 registered users here at ATS, and as of yesterday the estimated world population is 6,571,818,225. Here at ATS we represent 0.001159131269185401% of the population. That figure in mind, how many of us are devoted to promoting a positive change in the world? And how many of us are simply flies on the wall?

Of course we don't represent the whole 'deny ignorance' community worldwide, and are but a fraction.

My intention is to gather these details and create a report with statistics based upon my findings. It may sound a little tawdry and mundane but I have a genuine interest in this and believe the devoted amongst us would find such a report at least mildly interesting!

Questions (All 35 questions are optional)

General

1. Country of origin
2. Sex
3. Age
4. How long have you been a member here at ATS?
5. What single incident prompted your interest in conspiracy theory, mysteries of the world, science, etc?
6. Are you religious? If so, what religion(s) do you follow?
7. Are you patriotic?
8. If you could move to a different country (or already have), where would that be?
9. Are you a sceptic, or do you ponder mysteries with an open mind? Or do you lie somewhere in between?

10. Do you consider yourself to be a ‘good’ person, or an ‘evil’ person? Refer to Good and Evil for a detailed analysis on the differences between the two.
11. Are the concepts of ‘good’ and ‘evil’ meaningless to you?
12. Do you feel the need to somehow change the world? If not, skip questions 13 & 14.
13. Is it your expressed intention to somehow change the world for the better?
14. Conversely, is it your expressed intention to change the world for the worse?
15. Is it your belief that mankind is basically ‘good’? Or are we all prone to ‘evil’ tendencies?

Topics Of Interest

16. What is your particular field of expertise? (Ufology, paranormal studies, cryptozoology, etc)
17. If you don’t specialise in any particular field, what do you find to be the most interesting/compelling?
18. Can you openly accept other’s stories without proof/evidence, or is a story without proof useless to you?
19. Where do you draw the line with the need for evidence? For example, would you say that nothing is ‘real’ until you have physically witnessed the evidence?

34. Do you believe that the NWO (New world order) is going to be implemented within the next 5 years?

And finally…

Here goes!

1. England

2. Female

3. 59

4. 2/3 months

5. Have been interested since at least 11, when I gave my RE teacher hell every lesson! Was looking for an answer to a theological question regarding 911 and came across more than I bargained for. What I discovered has changed me profoundly.

6. No religion.

7. Most definitely not if patriotism means allegiance to queen and government.

8. Would not move, love England and the English are the only people who understand my sense of humour!

9. Try and keep an open mind.

10. Definitely good.

11. Absolutely not.

12. Yes.

13. Yes, one must lead by example - you cannot change others, only yourself, however by being happy and successful in yourself others will follow your path.

14. No.

15. Some are, without doubt, inherently evil. However their numbers are far outweighed by the good.

16. Jack of all trades and master of none, although have spent my nearly half a century people watching, so I guess I'm a bit of an anthropologist. Certainly studying behaviour turns me on (particularly if the subject happens to be tall dark and highly intelligent - ooops sorry, I digress)

17. I read all apart from aircraft - boys toys! I guess nothing is ever going to top 911.

18. A story without proof is just that, a story, unless one is able to relate it to other stories or personal experience.

19. Unanswerable question as there are too many variables as I have never accepted anything on face value in my life. However if I have the opportunity to gather evidence or can relate it to other scenarios I would not dismiss it out of hand.

20. Where would you like me to start? I could write a book about it. What I do know, incontrovertibly, absolutely, unquestionably, is that for at least some humans and animals, there is a part of them which does not die - I like to think of it as their soul, their very essence.

21. I don't 'disbelieve' - I need to take the time to learn more about them.

22. The important part here is "in his power". Yes I believe Tony Blair is doing what is within his power to do. Like most figureheads the power does not necessarily lie with him.

23. Everyone in my family, including me, are still bound by the official secrets acts which we signed years and years ago. It is in the very nature of the UK Government that it will only supply information which it believes is in the public interest.

24. Not when he's behind closed doors no.

25. Nobody in the Uk is "free" - we are not citizens but "subjects" and the only human rights we have are those provided by the Magna Carter and the European Court of Human Rights - and some people here don't want to be part of Europe!!!!!

26. To be replaced by whom? Another party facing exactly the same constraints as them - seems something of a waste of taxpayers money.

27. I think they landed on the moon, I think they faked a lot of the photos.

28. Probably.

29. The jury's out on that one - I need to do more research.

30. I beg notice of this question.

31. CIA

32. No. I remember being paranoid all throughout 1984 but Big Brother didn't start till 2001.

33. Quite frankly yes. The main reason being that virtually every television drama or series here in the UK is portraying just that sort of event, far more are being shown than the brief spate of sci fi programmes in the 60's and 70's.

34. Possibly, and for the same reasons as above except substitute nwo/opus dei for aliens/ufo's.

35. My kids bought me a picture which says "If Mum ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" when I had bad depression (story of my life!) and the weight of responsibility was unbearable. So my ambition is to be happy, because I know its not just my kids, when I'm happy I do seem to make everyone around me happy - my father was just the same, so he gave me the greatest gift ever.

Cheers, Cara

Cool. I am going to answer it then.

(All 35 questions are optional)

4. How long have you been a member here at ATS?

Since 7-2004, so just over two years.

5. What single incident prompted your interest in conspiracy theory, mysteries of the world, science, etc?

I distinctly recall looking at books when I was a kid that had, amoung other things, giant holes in the arctic that supposedly people had journeyed through, and the like. I had those 'time life' series of 'the unexplained' books to, and other 'bizzare history and events and ideas' type books.

7. Are you patriotic?

I'd say so.

8. If you could move to a different country (or already have), where would that be?

Canada/UK/Australia. I don't think I could spend the rest of my life having to speak another language. Perhaps its not all that difficult or frustrating, since lots of people seem to be able to do it.

9. Are you a sceptic

Yes.

, or do you ponder mysteries with an open mind?

Yes.

10. Do you consider yourself to be a ‘good’ person, or an ‘evil’ person?

Evil. Evil will allways win over good, because good is dumb.

Refer to Good and Evil for a detailed analysis on the differences between the two.

Does anyone actually need a refresher on the concepts?

11. Are the concepts of ‘good’ and ‘evil’ meaningless to you?

They have social meaning to people, so I can't say that they are meaningless. If you are asking if they are relative or absolute, then I tend to think that there are definitly situations where something evil can be seen as something good, and vice versa. BUT, I will freely admit that I actually know nothing.

12. Do you feel the need to somehow change the world? If not, skip questions 13 & 14.

Sure.

13. Is it your expressed intention to somehow change the world for the better?
14. Conversely, is it your expressed intention to change the world for the worse?

I think that everyone that sets out to change the world does it to make it better, and ends up making it 'worse'. Or more often than not, accomplishes nothing either way.

15. Is it your belief that mankind is basically ‘good’? Or are we all prone to ‘evil’ tendencies?

People do both, clearly.

16. What is your particular field of expertise? (Ufology, paranormal studies, cryptozoology, etc)

Nothing.

I am not an expert on the concept and thing of nothing, I am not expert in anything.

17. If you don’t specialise in any particular field, what do you find to be the most interesting/compelling?

? Out of what, the whole world? Or strict ATS topics? I spend a lot of time in the secret society forum, if thats what you are asking. I am also very interested in teh creationism-evolution controversy, theories about the NWO, and geo-politics.

18. Can you openly accept other’s stories without proof/evidence, or is a story without proof useless to you?

Why would something be useless if I don't accept it as true? Can't I consider a very unusual story provisionally to be little more than a story until reasonable evidence is presented for it AND think it is useful?

I don't beleive stories just because people tell them to me though, or because they seem to beleive it themselves, if that is what you are asking.

19. Where do you draw the line with the need for evidence? For example, would you say that nothing is ‘real’ until you have physically witnessed the evidence?

I'd have to consider lots of things to be un-real then. I've never seen an electron with my own eyes, but I make use of them every day.

20. Have you or anybody close to you ever witnessed something out of the ordinary? (UFO, ghost, Bigfoot, etc…)

No.

21. Do you believe in Reptilians, Greys, Nordics etc?

Insufficient data does not compute.

22. Do you believe your country’s leader is doing everything in his/her power to benefit the nation?

No.

Do you have reason to doubt this?

I beleive this because of the great power and influence of the US president, and the little that he has actually accomplished. Or given that he said there are three countries that are the ultimate axis of evil in the world today, and said this years ago, and two out of three are still around, no, he definitly isn't doing all that he can. He's playing politics, thats whats important to him. Minimally, he thinks that the country is best served by having republicans in power as much as possible, and working solely for that.

23. Do you believe your country’s government is purposefully withholding information from you?

Of course.

Do you have reason to think this?

How can a government operate without doing this?

24. Is it fair to say that you honestly do not know what your country’s leader is up to behind closed doors?

How can anyone know what another person is doing 'behind closed doors'?

25. Do you feel truly ‘free’ in your country?

America is the least free country, except for all those other countries in the world.

26. If the choice was available, would you opt to have your current government body removed from power?

Anyone trying to force the US government out of power right now should be rounded up and shot.

General ‘Classic’ Conspiracy Questions

I will be answering these based on the little that I have learned about them. IOW, sufficient evidence could easily convince me to change my mind.

27. Did America fake the 1969 moon landings?

No.

28. Did a UFO really crash in Roswell in 1947?

No.

29. Does the Dulce base actually exist?

I am not too familiar with Dulce. From what I understand, there is a military installation in the area, but there is insufficient evidence to demonstrate that there is a secret underground base with 'weird' stuff.

30. Did Adolph Hitler really die in 1945?

Yes.

31. Who really killed JFK?

Oswald. Its plausible that there were other people involved, one way or the other. But I have not seen sufficient evidence to definitively show that there were, or that Oswald didn't do anything and was just a 'patsy', the guy was a ferverent internationalist communist, JFK vowed to fight communism, anywhere and everywhere, he escalated vietnam over it and was ready to have global nuclear war to merely weaken the communists in cuba, he definitly had the motive.

32. Are you afraid of what might happen in 2012? (Natural disaster, nuclear war, etc)

Any year can have disasters. No, I do not think that the mayans were 'on to something' because their calender 'runs out' by 2012.

33. Do you expect an alien invasion (real or hoax) to happen in the near future?

No.

34. Do you believe that the NWO (New world order) is going to be implemented within the next 5 years?

No.

35. If you have one ambition in life, what is it?

Global Domination?

Thanks for your time. I’ll let this post breath for a while before I begin to write my report.

How are you going to tabulate the data? What is this research being used for? Are you in a program at a school? What level? I am curious.

20. I know someone who claims to have been abducted by extraterrestrials. I sometimes even hate to say this one, but sometimes I see things - either dark or light forms. It started when I was about 13 or 14 and hasn't really stopped (or not for long).
21. My belief that extraterrestrials live on Earth is something I flip-flop on. I think it's possible, but I also don't believe it's in the power of any government on Earth to cover it up.
