Hmm!

Something's changed about the board, and changed for the better. When I tried things from home last night, I ran into the same old issue... the board would say "you can't log in" and then show me I was logged in as I hit the main list of topics in each section (like Science, BTS, etc)... but when I tried to look at individual messages or reply or U2U it would say I wasn't logged in.

Cookie erasing fixed it once or twice, but not thereafter.

And today -- it's fixed! Whatever chased the gremlin off -- good job!

I had a lot of problems for a while with the same thing. I finally traced it back to the settings for my firewall that somehow changed after an update. Whatever the update added was blocking the required cookies or whatnot.
I was a little tense there for a while.

Interesting. But if it was firewall, it wasn't my doing since I'm on a dialup (I only get on for a few hours each day so firewalling isn't that useful... and Compuserve is already firewalled.) But it could be THEIR firewall.

Don't know. Glad the gremlins are gone, though!
