The World Service survey, conducted in 25 nations including the US, found that three in four respondents disapproved of how Washington had dealt with Iraq.

The majority of the 26,381 respondents also disapproved of the way five other foreign policy areas had been handled.

When asked about US military presence in the Middle East, an average of 68% of respondents across the 25 countries answered that it "provokes more conflict than it prevents".

Israeli-Hezbollah war: Washington's role met with approval from respondents in Nigeria and Philippines, but on average 65% disapproved across the 25 countries (50% in the US).

It is time for Washington to understand this trent and act swiftly. If they don't choose to adjust the current policies, it will be the US that finds itself isolated rather than the enemies its trying to isolate so badly.

Apparently, it's still not clear to them that they are only increasing the possibility of more wars and terrorist attacks on US soil.

Wauh! They think they'll get world dominion with the popular support of only Nigeria, Phillipines and Kenya.

Who said bananas?

Or was it another bush-bashing, anti-american thread I heard?

Common folks, what are we fighting for, this is a serious and reputed survey by the most respected news outlet in the world ...I know some of you deem them commie, but don't ask me, I don't give a damn.

Don't wanna be a martyr in this war
Don't wanna hear the same excuses anymore
That everything's a threat
And it's only gonna get worse if we let it

Don't wanna blame the rich for what they got
Don't point a finger at the poor for what they have not
Though the politician and the priest
Live in the belly of the beast because we fed it

Freedom is seldom found
By beating someone to the ground
Telling them how everything is gonna be now, yeah

Now if the tables were turned tell me how you would feel
Somebody busted up into your house telling you to stay still
While the leaders will deny defeat
Innocents they testify by dying in the street

Freedom is seldom found
By beating someone to the ground
Telling them how everything is gonna be now

who cares what other countries think of the US, take a good look at the corrupt UN they are worthless and do nothing but waste US money and halt actual progression. france was building nukes for saddam and had a stake in iraqi oil before israel hit in the 80's and the US went in in 03, so did russia of course they are pissed off. basically what it comes down to is interests vs interests and personally being an american I can really gives a rats ass what a frenchman or a brit or a russian thinks about my country and our actions, if america was not in the ME another strong country would be thats for sure so what people think is really irellevant as it only represents their own personal interests.

america should not base it's foreign policy on the opinions of foriegners or liberal socialist.

the US has not had an attack on US soil since 9/11 however the EU has had plenty of attacks and scares not to mention a plan thwarted last summer, so whats your point mdv?? the EU is getting hit and many EU countries are against americans stance in the ME so i really dont see your point? come correct please.

until the EU checks it's growing muslim jihadist threat and infiltration not to mention constitutional situation they will never be a solid bloc. that means the future is very uncertain for that bloc.

We should see this for what it is. Just the views of some people in 25 nations. I am not discounting the survey and The BBC World Service is pretty good.

Will this survey influence US policy? Not a chance. If you are the big boy, you do what you want and damm the rest.

I wonder what the results of a survey would be if you asked Commonwealth countries about the UK?

And what exactly were the questions asked?

Just a minute! The US only reluctantly pays its contributions to UN. For many years it didn't pay at all. For the moment the US debt to the UN is $1.25 billion.
...and before talking about corruption, you better sweep your own yard.

Dead wrong! France wasn't building nukes for Saddam more than the US are building them for N Korea. France provided technology for a reactor, like Westinghouse (with Rumsfeld as chairman) did for NK, and what has Russia to do with this except you get a chance to call them "pissed".

That's excactly how wars are created. No wonder the degrading adjectives people fix to your nationality.

No, you had them on your civil rights, your freedom of expression, your very constitution, ripped deep into your soul as FEAR.

Go read the link, man. The pdf file has all the details as to what and when and who was asked.

I have noticed the link had a mod-edit since yesterday. I think it is a pity way to preserve server-space, cause as it shows again and again throughout these threads, people don't read the links except what's in the snippet.

who are you to tell me my rights have been violated khunmoon? i live in this country I have not been violated infact i PROSPER in this country, dont lecture me as you have no substance.

secondly if im not mistaken france had a huge stake in the iraqi nuclear program and even had scientists over there for assistance so please cut the crap.

'In addition to the reactor, construction, and technical assistance, the French sold around 28 lb (12.5 kg) of 93% highly enriched uranium fuel (HEU), the usual fuel world-wide for research-type reactors at that time, to the Iraqi government.' en.wikipedia.org...

this is an older article about how the US 'debt' to the UN works so please stop trying to mislead people

www.cato.org...

the US is the largest financial supporter of the UN khunmoon, get your facts straight please.

www.genevabriefingbook.com...

please dont attempt to debate me with misinformation, khunmoon.
