YouTube and Google Video BBcode!

We now have an integrated ability for anyone to embed videos from YouTube and Google Video into forum posts (ATS only for now).

The tags are simple: "gvid" for Google, and "yvid" for YouTube.

What are the restrictions? I'm sure the content will be subject to the T&C as always, but is there a size limit, or anything like that? Also, Will this lead to the development of a specific forum dedicated to user videos similar to podcasts?

We are looking at the possibility of developing our own video uploading and sharing service, specific to ATS topics --> video.abovetopsecret.com

If all goes well, it will work as easily as podcasting on ATS does.

That may not be such a good idea. It's best to wait to see how all the IP litigation goes before committing to your own video-sharing site.

Trust that it will be done the "ATS Way".

Well I for one would welcome this feature as I (and I'm sure others) that may have wanted to contribute or share a video report or a possible UFO capture would now have the position to do so without having to 'upload' it to a free 'time-limited' service (that required visits at least once a month or would expire ones account).

I applaud the continued enhancements by 'team amigos'...!

I have a question.
Granted I am not very tech savvy, but with the old way of doing it I could go right to video google and download the video. I cant seem to do that with this new way. How can I download videos that I want now?

Wow! This is WONDERFUL! This way we can even load our OWN flash presentations into our message posts by first loading them onto a video hosting server!
