In what appears to be a match made in [sic] heaven, two men find out that the "12 year old boy" they been having sex with is actually a 29 year old convicted sex offender.

School officials became suspicious and called deputies, telling them they thought the guardianship papers and birth certificate presented by a man who said he was the "12 year old's" grandfather appeared to be fake and that "Price" looked much older than 12, said Susan Quayle, a spokeswoman for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

"They were very upset when the detectives told them they had been having a sexual relationship with a 29-year-old man and not a pre-teen boy," Quayle said, referring to the two men.

Sheriff's detectives investigating the case learned that the "grandfather" was Lonnie Stiffler, 61, who lived in a home in Chino Valley with Robert James Snow, 43, a sex offender who had failed to register with authorities, and the "12-year-old."

While it's no doubt these three "deserve each other," it is also a frightening wake up call. It speaks volumes to the lengths that pedophiles will go to access children to satisfy their predilections. The thought of bringing a "boy" into their home to live with them, as well as registering him in multiple schools for what appears to be an attempt to "troll" for even more victims is outrageous.

Between the lines however, it is scarey to see the true lengths these monsters will go to. Wonder what sort of charges are going to be filed...

They should be charged anyway. They believed that they were having sex with a 12 year old they should be charged with the crime.

Isnt that what they do on that nightline show? To catch a preditor. a opritive that is a legal adult poses as a child and they lure these sickos into the trap?

Same thing only sounds like the "boy" fooled the pedophiles.

They should be charged and the "12 year old" should be sent back to jail as this has to be a violation of his release terms. It is a wake up call and it highlight the problem letting these preadators into our communities brings.

I personally think these sick bastards are just a few of the
thousands of lowlifes that slip in and out of our society,
at their leisure.

I don't have time to look up the links right this minute,
but I also hold the JUDICAL system in our country for this problem.

Why do they treat our children as some kind of property
and release the men that hurt innocent children in this way
EVER back in the light of day??
Why is there not a uniform sentence , instead of sentences ranging
from probation to maybe a few years behind bars,for molesting children

That there's a good bit of karmic justice with this story, but there are several key elements that disturb me.

The though that two men could (and did) arrange to have a "12 year old" move in with them for the purposes of a sexual relationship.

That these men tried to enroll a "12 tear old" into multiple schools, and that neither of them was a relative or guardian (they must have succeeded at some of the schools... How would you like to have a child at one of them?

That a 29 year old would not just portray himself as a 12 year old on the internet... But in person! And that the ruse would be carried to the further degree of actual sexual relations (nothing to hide behind at that point, no pun intended). All three are idiots, but that belies the fact that all three are predatory criminals that should not see the light of day as a free man for the rest of their lives.

The horror? That there are countless other predators just like this who are active, and have yet to be caught in every society throughout the world.

There should be a one strike law. PERIOD.

If you touch a child in a sexual manner, no matter what the reason, situation, or explination (however devious and sick), you should be put away for good, life, no parole, no special privledges.

If you touch a child in that manner, you KNOW it's wrong, I don't care who you are, you KNOW it is wrong. And you should pay for it.

The fact that we even have to have a "predator registration list" is sickening.
Would you see this kind of thing happen in the middle ages? How about the wild west? I'm sure it was there, but if you were caught, you were killed, PERIOD.

No prisons. Prisons exist for the hope, however vague, that a criminal can be rehabilited. Molesters cannot, will not, rehabilitate. Mandatory capital punishment, period. First offense.

I'll be the first to admit, I have an extreme bias. My family has been torn apart by this sordid crime. My nephew is currently finishing a term in prison for indecent liberties with a child.

So many of these monsters roam freely, committing crime after crime after crime. They'll never stop of their own volition. They won't rehabilitate. Kill them. Quickly. Without fanfare. Kill them.

I totally agree with you, you cannot rehabilitate a pedophile. I have known people that were molested as children and it just absolutely ruins thier life. They will never be the same.


These guys should go to jail. The fact is , it doesnt matter that he was found to be 29 years old. They thought they were raping a 12 year old. Let them out and I guarantee they will do it again, only this time it will actually be a child. Im sorry but pedophiles need to be castrated.

If it would do any good at all castrating pedophiles would be a good idea. Unfortunately, the sexual aspect is only secondary to these twisted monsters, they are primarily after the sense of power that it gives them. The satisfaction they derive from this expresses itself sexually, but that isn't the primary goal.

The only true way to protect children from these monsters is to remove them from society permanently, either prison for life without hope of parole, or death. I, as you may have guessed, prefer death.

Yes, LOL I gathered that from your previous post. I am inclinded to agree with you but I dont think that our gov will ever do that. In fact they seem to be becoming more and more lenient on this kind of behavior. But kill the man who molested your child and theyll throw your a** in jail and throw away the key.

The reason I stated that pedophiles should be locked up for life, instead of killed, is that killing them is too easy of a punishment.

Murderers, rapist, gang-bangers, robbers, and everyone else in prison HATE pedophiles. If they find out there is a pedophile in the joint with them, the horrors they face inside are far far worse than any electric chair could do.

That used to be the case...prison was indeed the last place a molester wanted to be.

That simply, all too often, particularly in the larger state institutions, not the case anymore. My sister, who has worked in Corrections for almost eighteen years now; and others who work there as well; will tell that the enviroment has changed dramatically in attitude towards child molesters and sexual criminals in general. They aren't the targets they once were.

Despite my obvious bias, I don't neccessarily want them to suffer; I just want them to not harm another living soul ever again. I'll let God decide their punishment in the hereafter.

Very true.

Usually inmates make a good effort to get thier hands on convicted rapists but mostly pedophiles. Remember that pedophile priest John Geoghan that molested supposedly hundreds of children? He was beaten to death by an inmate who'd planned it for weeks.

Plus I should point out that most prisons have a high minority count and surprisingly...no one ever seems to mention this...but a majority of the pedophiles being caught tend to be white males. I don't know the statistics but I do know when I usually read an article regarding a pedophile/kidnapper it's usually a white male that's the perpetrator. It's weird though that they never get stigmatized for it like minorities do with drugs, gangs...etc.

Exactly the point... It's ironic that the "victim" was victimizing the "perpetrators."

All three were out to exploit anyone and everyone... Predatory in every machination.... Sick and diseased.

I would have loved to have been the proverbial "fly on the wall" when Lonnie Stiffler (even his name seems ironic in a punny way) was read the litany of charges against him, seemingly culminating in the child rape charges of the "12 year old" that he was undoubtedly illegally living with...
