We have received numerous inquiries and offers over the years for this premium, highly recognizable domain name, but an open and public online auction seemed the most fair and democratic approach to its sale.

On the exact day this auction ends, two full years of George W. Bush’s presidency will still be ahead of us. This domain name has never been developed or associated with any group, website, product, or movement, though its applicability as a focal point for fundraising, awareness raising, or commercial development is self-evident.

The “dot.com” domain name format has long been the gold standard. With no previous web development effort, “impeach bush” apparently generates millions of hits on major search engines:

With overwhelming opposition to Bush's war effort, and Congress's debateable lack of power (not effort) to stop him, a domain name like this is understandably valuable. Particularly when it may be the only recourse left if he continues his wanton destruction.

It's curious that Yahoo received nearly three times as many search queries!

So who will the winning bidder be? A far left wing Democratic grass roots organization, or more interestingly, a right wing conservative willing to pony up the bucks to avert any damaging usage of the name.

We should have an ATS guesstimate of what price the final bid price will be! Given that this auction has received national attention on DrugeReport, it will no doubt draw in enterprising businessmen, Democratic organizations, and the watchful eyes of the White House.

I will make a guess of $125,000, but would not be surprised to see this domain fetch over $500, 000. What's your guess on the final bid price?
