Well, in the spirit of fairness, this is something that has been going on for quite some time. However, one would think that considering Bush's
"hardline" on so many issues, this would be one of them. Obviously, it isn't.
Many liberals want to make this issue about race. Race has nothing to do with it. It's about common sense. If we are honestly fighting a "war on
terror," which I am increasingly beginning to doubt, then it would only be prudent to secure both the Canadian and Mexican borders. Yet, instead,
America cowers in the corner afraid that it might "offend" someone if it places troops on our national borders.
It's
OUR freaking border!! If we want to place damn explosive devices on it that is our prerogative!!
I have nothing against hispanics in general. Most are good, hard working people. It's ironic that the guards that they are imprisoning are of hispanic
descent. It goes to show that their loyalty to nation is much stronger than any loyalty to ethnicity...
I will say that America didn't send a very strong message on this issue. they voted out the Republicans who were at least divided on this issue and
voted in the Democrats who want amnesty for illegals across the board..
