This one's worth telling everyone that you know.
Last December, a spam mail started making the rounds that claims the sender is a professional hit man and has a contract on the recipient. The sender says that he will cancel the contract if the recipient pays him $20,000.
Apparently most of the world is wise to the "you just won the lottery!" and "I am the widow/only surviving relative of Famous Person and I want you to inherit..." scams and is trying extortion now.
