Check out this series from 1957, on Disney's Wonderful World of Color. This was directed by Ward Kimball, who was one of Walt's Nine Old Men.

Mars and Beyond:
Part 1 - 8:39, ~20Meg

Part 2 - 7:53, ~20Meg

Part 3 - 10:11, ~25Meg

Part 4 - 8:07, ~25Meg

Part 5 - 4:44, ~15Meg

Part 6 - 9:11, ~20Meg

Of special interest is part six, showing just how fanciful the whole plan was that Werner Von Braun had laid out. Note that this was only about 10 years prior to the "Moon Landing". Guess we scrapped all this and made 'amazing progress'!

This is really cool, thanks for the links.

(Sorry for the one line reply, I just don't have much to add at the moment)

BIG UFO NOTE.. Please see the start of part 6...

"A spaceship with an electro-magnetic drive to neutralize gravity - The spaceship of tomorrow?"

Who have come up with that idea in the 40-50´s? Von Braun idea? Nazi technology?

Thats what we know as UFO technology today.

The craft looks exactly like a UFO as we know them today.

I wonder if "the spaceship" has been made? If the have such an idea or concept in the late 40´s. They must have build it by now!

Badge01,great thread -theres some interesting reading here about Ward Kimball and Walt Disney -it seems they have quite a credible connection to the FBI,the USAF and the UFO subject.
