A quick 2 cents. I haven't read the posts in this thread.
This is a major development, which could be great for peace and order in Iraq.
I am driven by peace and order.
It is far more significant than the stupid toppling of the 20th largest saddam statue was to mark the so-called end of major combat in Iraq.
Celebrations on that spot, devoid of statue, today again featured a handful of extras.
Watching Saddam Hussein, the rat, in his medical examination, the footage shows him as an unkempt defeated cowering broken man (in pretty good health,
and quite wealthy with the US$750,000 in the cellar with him). But he had just an air of an indestructible Rasputin in his visage.
Tony Blair gave a good speech. Bush will # up as always. This is a blip, a very positive blip on the horizon for Iraqis. The next 4-5 months will be
key to what happens for Iraqis and their country. It can be used to promote the Bush admin's competence... and there are many implications of taking
Saddam Hussein alive that can be damaging within Iraq and for the war cause and what happens sin the wake of this, too.
A good day for Iraqis.
