Zionists do not represent Jews as a whole. Using the broad term Anti-semitism as an excuse for anything bad Zionists or Jewish people have done is just plain smart on the jews parts.

Anti-semitism itself is not directed towards only jews it goes for all semitic people. So in the case of Zionist regimes and the Illegal state of Israel, and Palestinian oppression the term is far from valid.
