'Red Crystal' debuts to protect Israeli medics

Following an agreement on the use of the "Red Crystal" instead of the 'Red Cross", Isreal is set to join the International relief organization after more than 50 years this Sunday. The Red Crystal which features a red square frame sitting on one corner will allow the Jewish state to aviod the use of the cross or the crecent which has been a sticking point for decades.

Red Cross officials caution that it will take time for all parties to recognize the crystal and avoid targeting medics under its protection.
