Byrd did not say She was running. If She states otherwise, I would be more then happy to put HER under unannounce members.

Just to correct you, so you don't make this mistake at future times.

Byrd is a female.

Seems like I'm the only undeclared, not that there are others out there waiting in the tall grass.

No prob. I will be running Libertarian. My platform is based on education, effectiveness and accountability. It will be unveiled when the forum is set up.

I have to wonder, does ATS represent what most people in North
America (Canada & the U.S.) and Western Europe want, because
if it does, than it does show that we want change.

I say this, because so far the Libertarian and the Reform party
are the two parties with the most candidates.

::Stands on his soapbox::

(in grand southern gentelmen accent) I am glad you pointed that out young iori.

Yes indeed the people want a chainge, they desire a chainge, they DESERVE a chainge. For far too long our government has run amok of our freedoms. Denied our liberties, and and eroded our rights as people of this great land. I for one will stand up and in a clear and loud voice say ENOUGH! I am but one man but I will no longer take this terrible injustice from the ones who call themselves master, and refer to us as their slaves. I say give me liberty or give me death, for it is truly better to die as a free man thain to live as a servent to those who would enslave us.

I say a chainge in this government draws nigh! For the people I talk to every day, from every walk of life desire this. The government has themselves become corrupt and indoctrinated in their ways. Every new member in the house and senate starts off with big ideas but they are soon crushed by the status quo. The government of today shames the forfathers of this country and the liberty and freedom this country was founded upon. I say it is high time to chainge their wicked and evil ways. Hold government accountable for their actions and expose their lies to the light of day.

That is why I What U KNO am the man for this job. I will be without corruption, for I have seen what this corruption has done to those in power.

OR... Say NO to the STATUS QUO.

My platform will make this clear. Education, effectiveness and accountability.

This is what I know.

WhatUKno, you've capitalized on my thoughts.

No worries though, I don't mind.

I'd just like to say this ahead of time.

I will not degrade myself by getting into any mudslinging matches,
or starting slanderous campaigns against my fellow candidates,
even if I disagree with there views.
Such things are disgraceful and are things that make me personally
not like a candidate, so I will not be doing that.

It sure seems like she is running and even has a team. Additionally she is soliciting comments from the electorate.

I welcome the help and support of our team and would be interested in hearing (via U2U or other) from others here on the board about issues that THEY feel are important.

After all, the election isn't about MY agenda -- it's about a national agenda.

In my mind Byrd is in until she officially declares herself out. Byrd's style is to enter any discussion late and then quickly finish it, leaving no doubt.

I don't think this will be one of those things that she is going to be able to dominate quickly. Yes she has name recognition, highly intelegent, and quite verbaly flexible.

However the voters are going to need to be constantly aware of a candidate that is running especialy in America where if your not in everyone's face constantly you may get left behind and forgotten.

Anyone good at polls? I am just wondering when the threads are going to appear?

lol, the elections are in 08, not 07. (I'm american). Next time when ATS does a thread about US politics try getting it right and try making it correct-- the elections happen every 4-8 years not every 2-3 years.

I think the point of it was that we are doing our own election. So it can be whenever ATS wants it to be. Just because the Presidental Elections of the US arnt untill 08 doesnt mean that we have to go by that rule.

I want to run for democrats. I believe the job that bush is doing is absolutely abbysmal, and that he wants to have a new world order, and that all he is doing is to advance his own political agenda. I want to have full healthcare that is affordable for everyone. I want to have the poverty line level raised up so that people who are poorer will have more money, and I want to take money out of the bigger corporations, and put them into the hands of the civilians. I believe that such nonsense is ridiculous and for it to continue it would become a full mockery of American politics and that would really devastate our economy, our allies, and all of Europe.

We need a way to fight these terrorists, and of course fight the war on drugs, and to prevent the risky case of suicide bombings in America, we need to strengthen our security, without taking away our rights, you have to have both, or what you have gotten will have been deceiving you right before your very eyes. The conspiracies running amok are incredulous. They should all be told, and all of them should be said, and yes, I know I'll get some people angry about saying this, but a plane really did hit the two towers, I saw it right before the second plane hit, after the first plane hit in my little class at eighth grade they made us turn on the TV to watch it, and then the plane hit the twin towers and the towers collapsed, I believe that there may been an outside source communicating with the hijackers or the pilot itself letting it know of an attack, but there is no conspiracy, it happened, so now we need to move on with our lives, and win the war on terror.

Of course this is all according to the OA's plan. They want to take us over using an staged alien invasion and all of you should be laughing then because you know it was coming, they want to wipe out western civilization, and I believe that all the resistance fighters are in fact controlled by the same organization that controls the west.

Again, I'm running for democrat.

Mav, I think I should point this out, you should'nt say the
democrat(s), as it's a term used by the right to belittle the Dem-
ocratic party, and is generally considered a rude term by said
party.

Just saying so it does'nt bite you in the ass later on.
