ECK,

That is your opinion. I support you having that opinion and have even fought the occasional fight to ensure that you can have that opinion. Both here and over there...

I however do not share that opinion. And as impeachment is only being brought up by the most radical of socialist democrats, it seems not many do either.

Yet, regardless of the 25th. you just keep on exercising your 1st! That is what makes ATS great..

Semperfortis,
I'm no Democrat. I'm a lifelong Republican.

BushCo.'s crimes pale in comparison to those committed by any president before him. They make Nixon's gang look like choirboys.

Crime is crime; and crime should be punished. Irregardless of party affiliation.

That's one thing that has disgusted me so, with MY party - the GOP. They talk alot about personal responsibility; but, when they get caught with their panties down (as they have so often lately), they suddenly forget about all their lofty rhetoric.

There is nothing worse than a hypocrit; and today's Republican party is drowining in hypocrisy.

I dont know why I even bother calling myself a Republican anymore. There are only a few good ones left talking sense (i.e. Chuck Hagel, Ron Paul).

We do agree, tho, on the beauty and necessity of the 1st ammendment.

Of what crimes are you referring?

Ron Paul, always thought of him as a Libertarian:

Political affiliations and support

Ron Paul joined the Libertarian Party in 1987 as a lifetime member, a status which he appears never to have renounced. Though only elected to Congress as a Republican, Paul remains on good terms with the Libertarian Party and has addressed its national convention as recently as 2004.

Libertarian Party spokesman George Getz said that thousands of libertarians across the United States donated money to Ron Paul's campaign funds. Campaign disclosures reveal that 71.4% of contributions to Paul's coffers come from outside his home state of Texas. Unlike many political candidates, Paul receives the overwhelming majority of his campaign contributions (92.5% in 2004 and 96.8% in 2006) from individuals.

Views

Paul professes a limited government, libertarian ideology. His regular votes against almost all proposals for government spending, initiatives, or taxes, and his frequent dissents in otherwise unanimous votes have irritated some of his Republican colleagues and have earned him the nickname "Dr. No" (an example being his dissenting vote in the No Child Left Behind Act where he was one of three Representatives voting against it

How many other GOP members brave enough to also be Libertarian? Lifetime members, at that? Have any renounced that membership?

Or do they LIKE govt's sticky fingers in the Free Market? Keeps K Street in business, eh?

There is one of two things going on then...
(1) Either you don't know how to read people

or (2) You cannot see beyond your hate.. Yeah, that's probably what it is. I lay you odds..

Thank God you're not the President then. Those are the decisions you sometimes have to make. I was in the Army, we know the chances we take by joining. It's not as if this is a conscription service nowadays. Hell, it's even easier to get out of the service now than it used to be. So...

My God. Just when you thought the hatred and pessimism of members on ATS couldn't get any worse...

Along comes people slamming the President for "fake" crying! Show me some proof! I in no way support the Presidents every decision. But, I would never stoop so low as to persecute the man for crying.

I can only think of two times that I have cried. (besides when I was very little of course.) That was at both of my Grandma's funerals. Funerals have a way of breaking down even the most stubborn of men.

This President has made some damn tough decisions in his time. I know many of you think he is an evil robot. But, step back for a moment, do you think he cherishes the fact that so many young Americans have died in this war?

Some people here on ATS have gone out of their way to demonize everything the President has done. I swear, the President could save a child from a burning building and... It would be a show for the press...

(rant off...)

I don't buy the Presidents crocodile tears. Prior to the democratic take over of congress the "decider" made no effort to communicate his reasoning for war to the American people. Only now that his butt is in "deep kimchi" is he making any effort to communicate his case for military intervention with the American people. If the republicans had held control of the senate you would not see the kinder, gentler GW Bush pandering his obscene war plans via the media.

You have voted LostSailor for the Way Above Top Secret award. You have two more votes this month.

You are right on the money there, bud.
I thought so much of your post that I gave you a "Way Above" vote.
Thanks for your contribution.

I know your excited about having just discovered the dictionary, but it is really nothing new to the rest of us. Here is a link to an online dictionary to make finding things easier for you. The website also has a thesaurus. A thesaurus will let you find words that have a similar meaning.
