Aliens look difernt in other countries. Why is this?

The literature and media from most nations all seem to describe and/or illustrate the usual gray/green skin, large black almond-shaped eyes, no/small nose, no/small ears, small/slit mouth, little/no hair, slight build, long fingers, large head disproportionate to body, skinny neck, weak musculature, usuually less-than-five fingers/hand, little/no verbal to telepathic communication.

Other than fantasy/sci-fi type sources, the above seems to be the universal caracature for contactee/abduction reports worldwide.

Hmmmm... never heard of such an alien description here in Europe. I remember reading accounts of "contacts" (more than abductions), specially in the '60-'70, with Nordic types. I strongly believe the infamous little greys, so common in the US, is a phenomenom part Spielberg-part Strieber book cover.
