I like it.

Above Politics.

Doesn't even need an acronym. Speaks for itself, to me.

Platform on stand-bye.

Short, efficient, and precise.

Huzzah!

How about we have a vote for what the new domain name shall be referred to as? It kind of follows logically that the issue be put to a vote on the political discussion arm of ATS.

I put forth ABPO ("ABove POlitics") as my suggestion.

Things are shaping up nicely for PTS. Viva la revolution!

No, we're going to take them all away because I like the way tar and feathers look on me, and I've always wanted to travel out of town by rail.

Ideally, AP will keep all the things we like about ATS/PTS (including points) while branching out and offering things you can't get on ATS.

I consider that the biggest problem facing our fledgling political board: redundancy -- and therefore competition -- with ATS.

The new name is a nice way to assert a little independence, but we still want to keep the political wing of our community right next door to take advantage of the many good things ATS has to offer and make it easy for members to switch back and forth at will.

However, the new name is only the beginning of what will eventually be an increasingly unique board optimized to discuss politics the way our members want to.

And for that, I definitely plan to steal what works on ATS, and build on it.

You even scared me a bit, and I don't post a whole lot over there. However,I can't imagine ATS without it...

When is the competition going to start, and where are the details. Im eager to see what this new "2007 decision" bit is all about.
