Queenie, did you read my last post. I just added more to it.
And I'm not judging you. You have a whole life left ahead of you. Things change.
But your stance on the Holy Bible is baffling.

Queenie, you're being selfish here.

How am I being selfish? I'm not saying anything revolves around anything that has to do with me.

The universe doesn't revolve around your concept of God, but most Christians do revolve around the concept of Scripture in the Holy Bible.

Correction: there is a whole body of extant influence that shapes the mainstream christian theology. I know this because I have looked for support in the bible and the bible alone for all the popular doctrines. And I looked on the 'pro' side and not the 'con.' So when I didn't find anything at all to support the pro there was obviously nothing in there. It is quite easy to find arguments to support a pre-chosen viewpoint, usually. I chose in favor of those doctrines and didn't find anything but the truth which was far different. It was shocking.
BUT I KNOW it wasn't my idea and I know it wasn't any other human being's either - I trust God.

Obviously you do not. Your beliefs blatantly show you have no intention of following what it teaches at all.

How do you know my 'beliefs' aside from the one discussed here? I DO follow what it teaches - what Christ taught. It's not that complex. Love your neighbor as yourself. The rewards have been proof enough for me that I am following God's will for me.

You have your own cosmic view of it that is quite "strange and twisted" (no offense, but any Christian/Protestant/Catholic or otherwise can see this in your posts). Your explanations are full of psycho-babble rhetoric. You never fully answer any questions at all.

That may be true, these days. I used to answer every single point with solid evidence, from the bible and nothing else....not opinionated but just objective. It didn't matter. Those who are attached to their beliefs only hear what they want to hear.
So these days I spend my time on other things that are far more productive service.

"What if I am the only one on my path" you say. Read the line that humble quoted. You have to be brain dead not to undertsand this line, seriously. If you do not accept this, then you do not accept the word of God as being true.

No, my brain is NOT dead, thank you very much.

I was trying to illustrate the idea not put myself forth as anything other than just an example. If the path is narrow - what does that mean?
That 9,000 something denominations of Christianity are going to be entering all at once?
That is a broad path - following men's teachings not God's.

How can you not understand what this line means? God is saying, there are 2 roads in life, only 2 Queenie: the wide road that many travel (to Hell), and the narrow road that few travel (to Heaven).

Don't be so arrogant. How can YOU not understand? is what I might say to you, instead!

It doesn't say 'hell' or 'heaven' but it says 'life.' Not 2 paths in life but ONE path TO life.

He doesn't mention the 2 roads and then add, "Oh, and then there's Queenie's road and that is the third option, but she is the only one on that path, no one can touch her, she's coming to me, I can't stop her." LOL!

Why would Christ stop me? And why do you not permit the possibility that I am on that narrow path? There are just two as you said. I am not on a broad path at all. And if that be the case, then you are right about 'no one can touch her.' If I am in God's hand then NOTHING can pluck me out of that hand, right? Or do the promises only apply to you and those who think as you do? How are you any different than me?

You're saying everybody's going to heaven. And I'm saying NO, some of us are not going to make the cut. That quote above says it all. What can't your brain understand about that line?

Your theology is built upon contradicting statements in the bible you use to support it. There are no contradictions in the bible for me these days - and I'm not ignoring one single word of it! God, Himself, says that He will save all the ends of the Earth! You say He won't. Please understand that I'm taking His word for it, not yours.

I happen to fully believe and trust that He WILL do EXACTLY as He has promised. How does that get me disqualified in your eyes as being eligible for the narrow path?

Queenie, I got halfway through your post above and gave up.
You gave me a "brain cramp".
Sorry, but I can't debate anymore with you.
Why? Because you make absolutely no sense at all.

I don't know why you must insist that everything has an esoteric meaning to it,

Because it DOES!

Esoteric:
Intended for or understood by only a particular group.
Of or relating to that which is known by a restricted number of people.
Confined to a small group: esoteric interests.
Not publicly disclosed; confidential.

And the disciples came, and said to him, Why do you speak to them in parables?
He answered and said to them, Because it is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but it is not given to them.
~Matthew 13:10-11

Also, he said that there is nothing that is not hidden that won't be revealed, etc.
Obviously at that time, not all was revealed. It is being revealed now to some but not to all. That's not at all anything outside of the bible. It is mentioned even in the OT.

he said it plain and clear, there are many who travel the path to hell, those who find the path to life are few.

Not to hell; destruction.
And I've found the path to life but I know that you won't hear that as truth. Nevertheless I never say anything on these forums which is intentionally false. I wouldn't say it if I weren't certain. I've been dead so I know what it is to be alive now. But before I had no idea I was not living.

You will see someday, for yourself. But not until you let God show you.

This way she alleviates guilt and can do whatever she wants without fear of retribution somewhere along the line.

Allow me to clarify, then. I was baptized for the remission of sin when I was 8 years old. I knew fully what I was doing and it was totally my choice. I understood the gravity of such a commitment and I understood the purpose.

I did not serve sin after that. Sure I've sinned - no one is perfect and never are in that sense of the word. BUT I do know that I have no need for guilt and any moment I choose to dwell on my own imperfect character I am not free to focus on Christ.

And Queenie, I am not saying I'm any better than you. I'm not looking down my nose at you. I just think your beliefs, your interpretation is "out there, bizarre, kooky". Crazy stuff.

That's fine. It's not like I'm not used to it.

I KNOW many things I say are 'out there!' If it weren't for the fact that I know fully without doubt where they come from, I'd be locking myself up in a ward somewhere, voluntarily. But I KNOW whom I have believed! And there isn't anything that doesn't stand up to intense scrutiny but it requires an open mind. God requires our minds to be open to HIM. Hardly anyone is open to Him. Otherwise I wouldn't be such a lone wolf.

It's like someone writes the sentence. "That man is evil."
And I say, "Hey Queenie, read the sentence and tell me what it means."
You read it and your explanation is, "The man is accepting, he is all embracing, he has fault, he tries to do good, he is like all of us, life has meaning, all is good."
And I respond, "Huh?"

That is totally off-base. The only thing I'm going to contest is what is found in the bible; meaning what I have found it to say vs what someone else believes it says...I don't believe it says what it does not say.

As far as someone writing the sentence you mentioned, my actual answer, to what it meant, would be:
'It is a judgment of one person on another. Who am I to judge either one of them?'
And that is all.

I do, however, fully realize that we are ALL fallible, imperfect, and totally human. Mainly because I know I am and I know I'm no different than anyone else. I don't hedge around my faults or shortcomings with God. However, at the same time, I also realize that God IS definitely far more merciful than any of us habitually are....He is with me and so I know He is that way to all of us. And so I apply what Christ says in Matthew; I refrain from judging because I don't wish to be judged, either.

Do you have to try or do you have no faults? Do you allow for other people to be imperfect? Or do you feel that if not perfect we are useless to God which means that either you are perfect or you are useless, too?

Life DOES have meaning for me, and if you think that is crazy then I'm sorry to hear that. Mine didn't always, although I wasn't quite aware of that. Things have changed for me, though, and I know the before and after but I know that you have no way of knowing that.

I thought that was the whole idea of seeking God out in the first place? To give meaning and purpose to both my life and hopefully those around me, too?

I never asked you to debate with me in the first place! I don't like it, either.

Not to you; I know it doesn't. I fully know this and I understand why, as well. But unlike you guys I don't feel the need to press it upon you until I make my own head ache! I also know that I can't make you see, either. You will see when God shows you. You said that things change...I just put in another post that they have changed. I know fully what you are saying - because I have lived it.

Don't feel that you must somehow set my path aright - I know your intentions are good but they are YOUR intentions, not God's. Think about that, later on when your head is better.

And I'm sorry about your head. However, I am just following the advice of Peter in his first epistle, 3:15-16!

Queen, you obviously have the biggest ego here, you believe that you have somehow interpreted the bible correctly, while the billions upon billions of people these past 2000 years have interpreted it incorrectly.

How can you make such a wild claim?

I don't know about you, but your God is not my God or other bible believing Christians like me.

quote: 6 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." REVELATION 21: 6-9

I didn't interpret it. It's not subject to human interpretation, and says so itself.

How can you make such a wild claim?

What wild claim? My confidence comes from trusting God alone, in full and without exception.

I don't know about you, but your God is not my God or other bible believing Christians like me.

That may very well be true. However, there is just ONE living God. My God is ALIVE.

I trust in Jesus, I don't know who you trust in, your god does not sound like the God of the bible, I take him at his word, you seem to be trying to find an esoteric meaning in everything.

You and all others must realize the seriousness of sin.

7"Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!

8"If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than to have two hands or two feet and be cast into the eternal fire.

9"If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it from you It is better for you to enter life with one eye, than to have two eyes and be cast into the fiery hell.

MATTHEW 18:7-9

And I also tell you,

20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
And clever in their own sight!
ISAIAH 5: 20-21

2 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?
There is more hope for a fool than for him. PROVERBS 26: 12

I once heard someone say, "The wisest thing Satan has ever done is tricked people into believing he doesn't exist"

You do not follow scripture, are you sure you're not being deceived?

Do you actually read my posts or just scan for keywords? Have you read the following, in the bible?

And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou may know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
~Isaiah 45:3

Verily thou art a God that hides thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.
~Isaiah 45:15

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
~Psalms 25:14

You and all others must realize the seriousness of sin.

And you said I had an ego, humbleone?

If you worry MORE about love you can worry LESS about sin. That's in the bible.
If you are baptized you can follow Christ and not worry about sin. That's in there, too.

2 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes?

I do.

You do not follow scripture,

Why do you assume that? Footsteps before words, but still they jibe.

are you sure you're not being deceived?

Would God deceive one who trusts Him? No.

Thanks, queenannie for hanging in there. I'm not sure why anyone who has actually read your posts would find them to be confusing. Or unbiblical, or unscriptural. Truly mystifying. At least, to me. Although it may be damning with faint praise to say it makes sense to me. Since I'm just a random goof.

Anyway, I know you know. And you know I know you know. But you also know I don't know what you know. You know?
