Not sure how reliable this source is but I found it very interesting.

"Canadian coins containing tiny transmitters have mysteriously turned up in the pockets of at least three American contractors who visited Canada, says a branch of the U.S. Defense Department."

Also not really sure how effective tracking by coins would be. I would think that coins change hands so quickly that it would not really help in tracking and individual.

I believe it is bogus.. Coins never stay on one person for long.. Sounds very strange to me.

If its true may thats the exact phenomenon they are tracked for. To investigate just how fast coins change hands and spread across the country.
