Whilst there seem to be many threads relating to surviving civil disorder etc. there does not seem to be much info on surviving natural events either local or on a larger scale. So with that in mind what are peeps views on a survival guide for such events be it fire, storm or flood.

Each disaster brings its own unique set of problems. Storms and volcano eruptions mostly come with warnings so some last minute preperations can be made, but things like fires, and erthquakes can strike without warning.

Presuming you have stocked up your home for the possability of having to survive a few weeks - a month, then as long as your home is still standing then your in business.

If we look at what happened when katrina hit then we can see the problems people faced, when the authorities disappear most people are left in a real mess.
