compare this story eu seeks huge energy revolution to this story bush backs alaskan oil drilling

one says "The EU's civil service wants more investment in renewable energy, arguing that the old fuels have a political as well as clear environmental cost." and the other "Home to endangered whales, the Bristol Bay is thought to contain some 200 million barrels of oil. The news comes as a trans-Alaska pipeline was shut down after some 500 gallons of crude oil were spilled."

on article shows that they are aware of the growing problem of reliance on fossil fuels and are prepared to take steps to do something about it and the other shows theres money to be made regardless of the cost to the environment.

we have technology now which could make a huge difference in cutting down on or out of the problems caused by fossil fuels. with birds dropping from the sky and mystery 'natural' gases floating around, isn't it about time more countries did something about using them?
