Thanks man. Now here is the info I wanted to add. I live in LA. Smog city. This was the only dot in the sky, I am an avid sky watcher and love looking at stars. This bright fellow sat on top of the sunset horizon at around 5pm. Not another star was visible yet, by far...

It is gone now...

I don't know what else to think...

It was there. Now its gone. And I repeat, my intellect tells me it wasn't a star because of obvious reasons. And if you check my history, I am no UFO advocate. This is just strange.
