If aliens were here to help us....we'd know about them already. The fact that they aren't exactly speaking to the population at large....is a pretty good sign that whatever their intentions are....help isn't one of them...

Well, since we're all in the dark anyways, I guess a case can be made that they actually have helped in the past by avoiding a nuclear accident.

- Roswell incident, at the time, the only AFB with nuclear capabilities nearby, coincidence?

- RAF Woodbridge incident, more nukes at those bases

- The minuteman missle test film which captured a ufo shooting beams at a missle.

Friendly information gathering to ensure we aren't blowing ourselves up? Foes?

You're absolutely right. We probably aren't the only violent race in the solar system. Your opinion is very logical and I respect that. As of this moment though only the government IMO can tell us for certain.
