Kindly refrain from refrain to the American public as ignorant and I am sure most reasonable people will refrain from calling your country a cesspool.

I think this topic doesn't get much coverage in the media because it is not politically correct. Whites are, in America at least, inherently unable to be non-racist nor be the victims of racism. I can't speak for the rest of the world, but I suspect that's the reason this receives no coverage here. Considering South Africa's history I am sure some of the crime is racially motivated, but other attacks are just as likely to be opportunistic. No matter the case I can't blame people for wanting to leave.

You really can't compare the killings of whites in Africa with the killings of whites in America.

When whites went to Africa they enslaved the population, stole all the resources and created the super class of whites which ruled over the native population.

When whites came to America we passed out blankets with small pox and offered a dollar for every scalp of the native Americans. (A buckskin.) We killed off the native population to the point we could put the survivors on small pockets of land called reservations and keep them in check. I'm almost 50 years old and I cannot recall a native American ever killing a white man.

Those who colonized Africa screwed up, and now their children have to pay the price.

If you want to take the land, you have to first kill those who believe it's rightfully theirs. If you don't have the stomach for that, they will stab you in the back every chance they get.

Machivelli was so right in this regard. If your enemy is on the run, hunt them down and kill them before they have the chance to regroup.

Ya its pretty bad. Actually pretty is an understatement. Where my family lives in a Gated community outside Durban. The slums and crime are awful and apparent in the streets. The gated community is like a fortress but there are tons of criminals always getting in. My mum told me the other day last week 2 White Women were raped and gived an STD a few houses down and beaten within an inch of there life. The perpetrators wont be charged.

Hell when I was there Whites made up about 10% percent of the population. Now its less than 5. And the more that leave, the worse it gets. The ANC are a bunch of corrupt thugs. Things are falling apart quickly. Not saying Aparthied was wonderful, but when you look at South africa today compared to 1983.

P. Botha's Aparthied era was the hieght of accomplishment. We did the first Heart Transplant, Developed Nuclear Weapons/Power, Call Centers,Build Roads, Schools, Power Plants, even a Space programme. None of that is being done now the wealths of the state are being wasted. Its all crumbling the Infrastructure built during that time isnt being taken care. Its only a matter of time before South Africa Joins Zimbabwe's future.

If you are white you should leave South Africa. My family is leaving in November. The discrimination and thuggery is awful. For some reason people in america treat people like people not based on racial prejudice. Sure its in a few corners of society but Racism is nothing here, go to South Africa if you want to see it. You are charged more for being white, You are robbed for being white, your sister has to be under armed guard because Raping white women is a prize in Durban.

No thanks, I wont miss the blackouts, crime waves, and corruption.

I'm directing these two very sensitive questions to the people who live in S.A.

Further back in the thread 2stepsdown stated that Rhodesia, Somalia, Angola, Nigeria, Chad, Congo all fell down. So is this what happens when rule is handed over to black Africans? Can anyone here say that South Africa is in a better state now than it was under white rule?

Kind of an odd double edged question mate. Aparthied was good for us whites and somewhat better for black then the current situation, the state took care of them with its resources, but it was A TERRIBLE thing for blacks in many many ways because they lacked so much oppurtunity compared to what was illegally givin to whites, which without a doubt has set them back so far in terms of Skillsets and Wealth.

Honestly I cant blame them for having a chip on there shoulder, really cant cause I would too. If I was black I would hate the white man, I really would. We invaded there country, set up a lopsided regime and held them down for years now they are up and I would make them pay If I was in there shoes. This wasnt 100 years ago. Were talking the 1990's.

Which I why i think white people should follow my lead, and just need to get out. Because when things start to look bad, white people are dragged out into the streets as the scapegoat. We have seen this pattern again and again, in every commonwealth. Too say south africa is any different is ignorant.

Its going to happen in South Africa I promise.

Thanks for the reply, Soupsandwich. I lived in S.A about 25 years ago, I was around ten years old at the time, it only feels like yesterday, we lived there for about 2 years and the country was aesthetically beautiful. I lived in a place called Pinetown, outskirts of Durban.

Even at that young age I did notice something was not right, that white Afrikanas did have a terribly arrogant, superior attitude towards black people.

Although, if mass rape and murder is the African reaction to white oppression then the Africans are just as bad or worse than the oppressors were.

Apartheid South Africa provided better for the black people than countries they governed themselves. Much better. The only country that had a currency stronger than the British pound, was Rhodesia (1 pound 1 cent at independance.) So, which country in Sub-saharan Africa should the Afrikaner government have followed the example of? Zimbabwe? The Congo? Benin? Nigeria - so many resources including oil, it should be as rich as Gulf countries? You can say what you like, but there is no denying that: APARTHEID PROVIDED BETTER SAFETY, more schools, hospitals, roads; liveable pensions; homes; streetlights; welfare workers; doctors, nurses, etc, than any AFRICAN country. I dare you to come and do better!
Remember, the blacks were still in the pre-Neolithian age! they still snip off penisses for their own tribal medicine. they still bury human hands in front of their enterprises, to wave in customers. Not even the UN with all its resources, can give an African country the level of development the Apartheid government had. And, guess what: the blacks are turning to white governments for help ... you should see what they really do to white people on africancrisis.co.za and stopboergenocide.com How they punch white children in the face and murder them too. They also murdered their own during the mafecane and other tribal campaigns - like they do in the rest of Africa.

Note: For those of you saying that the "white South Africans should just claim refugee status", being a member of one of the most vile gangs in Central America is apparently greater grounds for refugee status than /2008/04/]look-at-whom-the-us-denies-residency/]white South Africans that actually contribute to society (apologies for the latter source).

The only thing more hilarious than this is the "anti-Apartheid activists" that emigrated from such an advanced, crime-free nation.

Or the sad fact that half of the criminals of South Africa will be applying for refugee status themselves in 10 years, and Europe/America/Canada/Australia/New Zealand won't deny them (that would be racist otherwise...)

Call me any names you want, I am much happier here in Austrailia.

I earn a MUCH better income here, I live in a wonderful and safe neighborhood 15 mins from the city, there are virtually NO homeless people or beggars here, I have seen around 2 homeless people and I have been asked for money ONCE in the 4 months I have been here...

Where in S.A there would not be one day that i wasn't asked for money about 20 times on every street corner...ugh

In the first few months I was able to buy a brand new xbox 360, loads and loads of games, a brand new HD 46" LCD, clothes a laptop etc etc

50% of the time we forget to lock our front door

We can have dinners at street cafe's without being bugged for money every 5 minutes, my girlfriend doesn't have to hold onto her purse as if her life depended on it.

We have an amazing transport system here, I don't even need a car, oh yeah, my car was broken into 6 times in 1 year back in cape town..sigh

My girlfriend can WALK home from work at night SAFELY!

Try that in S.A


We have Medicare over here

There is ALWAYS something to do here in Melbourne, we have lists and lists of bands coming this year, and we don't pay through our nose for the tickets...

We have a City here that is a place to visit and shop and party and have fun and walk around in...

Where do u do that in Cape Town ? you can only go to the waterfront SO MANY TIMES, and it's an overpriced tourist trap anyway

S.A was much better off for whites and for blacks, I have heard from numerous blacks that things were MUCH better for them back in the old days then it is now, their own government treats them worse than we did back then..
