I've given this A LOT of thought ....
Although this may not be the right answer, or the best answer, this is what i think is the
most appropriate answer i can supply:
There is something that interests you more than anything else. There is something that you love doing, or there is something you have more motivation
for doing. Perhaps a skill, perhaps a hobby, perhaps a discipline or specific field of study.
I say know your heart first, then follow your heart. If it something you love more than anything else, i'm pretty sure you won't be alone in your
passion for it. Others will also be interested in it, and you may help them learn more about it if you learn a new thing, and in turn teach them.
Like a relay race, you make a discovery, and someone in the future picks up your work and continues to make progress with your discoveries, or ideas.
Not unlike what Albert Einstein did with Sir Isaac Newton's work.
I also think that there is something that you are naturally good at. Something that seems to come alot easier for you than other people.

My Answer:
First you need to answer these two questions for yourself:
1) What do i feel more passionate about than anything else?
2) What do i do rather well which comes easy for me / What am i best at?
I say pick one of the things from those answers, or if possible both, or if you can link them together.
I don't think you can fail to make the world a better place so long as you follow your heart (passion) and what you are good at doing.
I say find those two first, then just be who you are, knowing you are doing what you are good at, and knowing you are doing what it is you are
passionate about.
I hope you like this answer, although it may seem a little vague, but i can't presume to know what it is you are good at and do with relative ease,
and what it is you love to do.
Hard question. Very good question though.
