got a very shakey feeling this afternoon and got the hit there could be a strong earthquake in ca. very soon in a day or so.
The temblor hit at 10 p.m. local time, 7 a.m. EDT (1100 GMT), about 85 miles (135 km) northeast of Tadine, Loyalty Islands, and at a depth of 6.2 miles (10 km), the agency said. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Right now many seismographs around the world are going crazy. There are several 4.8 and higher earthquakes, up to 5.7, mostly centered around Japan.
This "might" be a precedent of quakes before a big one.
It seems as if the whole region extending form the Aleutian island in the North Pacific, to the Loyalty and Fiji Island areas are very active.
Let's hope it is a false alarm.
