A. very good thread
B. BUSH IS ALSO A CHARISMATIC Christian which although he may not be attempting to bring about the end of the world, he is not worried if it happens. Because he is one of the 'elect'. ACTUALLY IF HE AND HIS ILK is the 'elect' I’ll pass.
C.Truth no longer matters, good article, What’s most amazing is that Robert is a Republican albeit a moderate one and he sees and is willing to attest to the pure ‘evil ‘ of this administration.

The Disrespect for Truth has Brought a New Dark Age

By Paul Craig Roberts

In the US today, demonization and propaganda substitute for facts and analysis. Professors and journalists are quick to lend their names and voices to the untruths that rule our lives. Just as Hitler’s foreign policy was based in propaganda, so is Bush’s and Blair’s.
The success of propaganda enhances government’s illusion that it has a monopoly on truth. It is the monopoly on truth that gives the Bush regime the right to define the "Iran problem," the "Syria problem," the "Lebanon problem," and the "Korea problem" and to apply coercion in place of understanding and negotiation.
Secure in its possession of truth, the Bush administration refuses to talk to the enemies it has manufactured. It will only fight them.
When scholars, such as John Walt and Stephen Mearsheimer, or President Jimmy Carter, who has tried harder than anyone else to achieve Arab-Israeli peace, point out that Israel’s mistreatment of Palestinians is a cause of Middle East turmoil, they are immediately denounced as anti-Semites. Columnists and academics who know nothing about the Middle East or its troubles nevertheless know what they are supposed to say whenever anyone mentions Israel in any critical context. And they have no compunction about saying it, the truth be damned.
Without commitment to truth, science, justice, and debate falter and disappear.
The belief in truth is fading from our society. It is unclear that scientists themselves any longer believe in truth or the ability to discover it.
The discovery of truth is no longer the purpose of our criminal justice system. Once prosecutors believed that it was better for ten guilty men to go free than for one innocent person to be wrongfully convicted. Today prosecutors believe in high conviction rates to justify their budgets and re-electio
All societies have elements of myth, untruths that nevertheless serve to unite a people. But many myths serve as camouflage for evil. One of the greatest myths is that "GIs have died for our freedom." GIs have died for American empire, for the American elite’s commitment to England, and for the military-industrial complex’s profits. Some may have died in Korea for the freedom of South Koreans, and some may have died trying to save South Vietnamese from the North Vietnamese communists. But it is hogwash that GIs died for our freedom.

America’s wars have created hysteria that endangers our freedom. Abraham Lincoln shut down the freedom of the press and arrested editors and state legislators. Woodrow Wilson arrested war critics. Franklin Roosevelt interred American citizens of Japanese descent. George W. Bush has destroyed most of the Bill of Rights. In 2006 Congress appropriated funds for building concentration camps in the US.
Recently, Newt Gingrich, the former Speaker of the House, said that freedom of speech is inconsistent with "the war on terror." If it takes a police state to fight terror, the country is lost even if Muslim terrorists are defeated. Americans have far more to fear from a homeland police state than from terrorists.
The vast majority of the world’s terrorists are the recent creations of Bush’s invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq and of Israel’s invasion of Lebanon and brutality toward the Palestinians. Bush is simultaneously creating terrorists and a police state. It serves no one but the police to make their power unaccountable.

D. Dumbing down good article, will add tomorrow. The article is by last name Venezuela. Just a little add on to the already good info.

E. Have you noticed an increase in post very similar or very questioning of the way things are, such as this thread. Should we be encouraged because many more people are ‘finally’ realizing that the US is declining rapidly. What can be done? At least the knowledge that things are wrong may be the beginning of a move to rectify the situation. Is there enough time to save US?

Just a little re: 'dumbing down'
civillibertarian.blogspot.com...

As television becomes parent, teacher, role model, babysitter and entertainer to the child, given the abandonment of historical parental roles thanks to society's pressure to produce and consume, everything shown becomes everything learned, thus habituating a child to the role corporations have decided to bestow onto him.

The education system in America has been carefully eroded over the course of time, altered in such a way as to make creative and curious children barren and submissive adults indifferent to the world around them.

The war crimes and crimes against humanity America has perpetrated worldwide to millions of anonymous people under the rubric of freedom and democracy is never mentioned, rather, they are sugarcoated and glamorized, serving as examples of America's "great history."

Brainwashing unquestioned patriotism into our young one?s minds government controlled education furthers the squashing of dissent and the questioning of our sovereign's motives.

I don't think the military is doing the dumbing down but rather the education system and TV(Corporate Advertizing)

Although military training can/does lead to survival skills it also does ingrain a high degree of shoot first ask questions later mentality. That is let the upper portion of the chain of command make decisions and the lower part carry out those commands w/o question. Effective, especailly if the upper part of chain is properly directing the lower. But w/o critical thinking skills the average citizen is an automaton. Although this is effective in warfare it leaves people looking for guidance from above, the chain and dependent on others to do their thinking. This is by no means limited to the military but could be a contributing factor in the predicament that we find our selves in today. People are blindly following a 'corrupt regime' and not thinking for themselves.

neither Bush, the neocons in the administration, nor the backroom elites like Baker/Kissinger or the rest
want an 'end of the world' scenario.

they may well be maneuvering the geopolitical, strategic, & world opinion
structures into a Armageddon type of conflict...
because as the wide spectrum of zionists, Christian & otherwise, see it- ->
the Muslims/Islamics are a cancer which need excised/removed from the world body.

guaranteed, there are many manipulations & subversive activities trying to undermine or otherwise 'corrupt'
the militants who choose to wage terror under the Islam/Muslim banner...

Eventually the seeming cohesive & united terror/zealot force(s) will begin to disintegrate into chaotic factions or groups having different priorities.

The 'end of the world' {..as we know it} can take many forms,
the Mad-Max, or Nuclear Winter desolation, play well for the box-office
but not so much in ordinary reality...the present 'conflict-of-civilizations'
plays well too, but is only a means to an end!
?Do you really think the unrestrained capitalism & the ever-growing consumerism model of the present infant-stage NWO Beast, would want/desire for several hundred million or up to a billion individual consumers (rich-or-poor) to be annilated???
Nope!

The great delusion being played on youse (& myself) is that an Extinction-Event war will need to happen.!!
Then.... we, them, and all parties in contention with one another will acquiesce to all sorts of measures which are not 'so' end-of-the-worldish...
the elites, bankers, arms merchants, unholy hedonists and all the minions are 'on-board' with the drama, whether individually we recognize it or not!

Dock6... wow. Your writing reminds me of Albert Wesker minus the nihilistic ego. Nice. One day i'll be that good lol.

We're all going to face ugly times in the next few years. Beyond that, probably more. Further on, life will restore itself if we don't blow eachother off the map in the process. Since the dawn of man a small percentage of people have risen slowly to the top to try to seize control in a terrible way. These beings are rare but blend into society and can appear quite rational. A bigger majority wishes they had the "strengths" of such individuals. The idea is for you to rise above their strengths and expose them for who they are by just your presence. Have you noticed that the more powerful you get, the more fights you get in? The more people lurk around you to bring you down? Keep rising, and the'll crumble in your presence. You'll start reading vibes- behavior- slogans- etc.

Simply put, we can spend years attacking groups trying to take over the planet and incite chaos. The one group trying now isn't the first to attempt, and isn't the first that succeeded. Our history is far longer than you could imagine. And throughout those times, people like us have seen the problem- but tried too hard going after the top. Going after the "group". Never knowing what classification of being we were going after in the first place. The "Mystery" of evil you could call it- but with no answer. Now I present you with information as to who the being is that tries to control the world and create chaos.

The information you've just read is elite. So is the rest. Your eyes don't stop opening in this group.

Time is ticking. Which is why I support the organizations that I do- the one's making a change. The first step is knowledge...

And HE and Company will go into bunkers?
He doesnt want to die anymore than the rest of us do. Bush isnt looking forward to HIS death, he's looking forward to everyone elses so he can be the elite ruler of the new world..or something along those lines.
Puhleeze...
He's nothing but a psychopathic ruler and he's got company in other countries.
