madnessinmysoul, are you making the assertion that Christianity is based on violence?

yes and no
i'm saying that islam is no more based on violence than christianity

i can hand you a summary of violence in the bible right here
Long List of Violent Passages in the Bible

then again, the koran is also violent
koranic violence

so is the book of mormon
violence in the book of mormon

Ah, I see, it's from the "SCEPTICS Annotated Bible". I've noticed that you use atheistic resources to back up your atheistic views, while condoning anyone that's religious when they use religious resources to back up their views.
You approach everything with scepticism.

well, SAB/K/BoM actually has the original text there for reference
so i don't see why i'd have to back up my claims when i'm actually citing the original religious text

and why shouldn't i?
a little skepticism never hurt anyone

so, you doubt that a the majority population of 1.8 billion condemns the actions of at most a couple of million?

question for you
can you back up that stereotype of the mulsim population?

I don't think that I am stereotyping Muslims by saying that I have doubts that the majority of Muslims condemn those actoins. Can I back it up? No I can't, but what is a reasonable person supposed to conclude when for the most part there has been silence from the Muslim community. And I don't think that is because the media is ignoring it.

Can you back up your claims that the majority of Muslims don't feel that way?
