Ok, let me get this straight. Bush supposedly wants 'democracy and liberty" in Iraq and sends tens of thousands of troops and billions of dollars there to prove it. Yet, when a truly democratic nation tries to achieve it, Bush smacks them down with

"`We oppose any unilateral decision by either China or Taiwan to change the status quo,'' Bush said, ``and the comments and actions made by the leader of Taiwan indicate that he may be willing to make decisions unilaterally, to change the status quo, which we oppose.''

Does this man have any backbone? Can we even call him a man in the moral sense of the word?

In Colonel's world, what do you suggest is the best course of action?

Since we're in the mudpit, we wouldn't be having this problem if it wasn't for the Democrats not standing up for 'democracy and liberty' a 1/2 century ago. We might not have lost China OR N. Korea for that matter.

Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons.

George W. Bush
Speech to UN General Assembly
September 12, 2002

Our intelligence officials estimate that Saddam Hussein had the materials to produce as much as 500 tons of sarin, mustard and VX nerve agent.

George W. Bush
State of the Union Address
January 28, 2003

We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons -- the very weapons the dictator tells us he does not have.

George W. Bush
Radio Address
February 8, 2003

Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised.

George W. Bush
Address to the Nation
March 17, 2003

We are learning more as we interrogate or have discussions with Iraqi scientists and people within the Iraqi structure, that perhaps he destroyed some, perhaps he dispersed some. And so we will find them.

George W. Bush
NBC Interview
April 24, 2003

We'll find them. It'll be a matter of time to do so.

George W. Bush
Remarks to Reporters
May 3, 2003

I'm not surprised if we begin to uncover the weapons program of Saddam Hussein -- because he had a weapons program.

George W. Bush
Remarks to Reporters
May 6, 2003

"The great masses of the people ... will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one." -Adolph Hitler.
How right he was.

Moral and refernece to Bush don't belong in the same sentence it's like saying Clinton was a good president with high Morals.

You know, you could just go to a local pharmacy and begin making weapons of mass destruction.

Good point, Bobb. I just..well, I can believe we just sold out a democratic nation for the interests of communists. Would anyone believe they would see the day that a repugnant would do that? But, then repugnants are back-stabbing deceitful people. They learn this early in childhood. It never stops with them.

So, its natural for Bush to sell out the Taiwanese but, ya know, give credit to the Taiwanese, they gave the finger to Bush and had the referendum anyway.

You speak with "forked tongue" Colonel.
You don't want the US to do anything with the likes of Saddam, etc., but you want the US to fight Communism?
Interesting.....

As soon as Taiwan announces that they are going to become an independent nation....China will destroy them, literally. Oh, but thats right.....you would want the US to protect Taiwan, as it has done for how many years? Thus the US would come to Taiwans aid, which could inevitably destroy this country in a nuke fight, if not the world?

The situation and you are offering a "catch 22" endgame scenerio.
BTW.....the US has recently, and I mean recently, re-affirmed that it would protect Taiwan....

Colonel, again, wtf should Bush have done? Really? Promoting the status quo IS protecting Taiwan, which is quasi-independent right now anyway. Sure, I'd love for a president stand up to China and insist Taiwan be allowed full freedom.... that is if it wouldn't prompt China to ready its hundreds of missiles pointed at Taiwan.

Colonel, I don't know how exactly Bush sold them out. And, are you, a dem, trying to act tough on Communism??

Thats shocking! as your party has historically embraced and even collaborated with communists that wished our destruction.

Again, our "MBA President" was obviously absent on the day they went over cost/benefit analysis.
Every other president, regardless of party, stayed away from making such position taking statements while hosting or visting China's leadership.
You ask wtf Bush should have done? Not make a concrete statement, for starters.

And he iz back on the beat with the posts!!

hope to see more of your topics Colonel.
Bush is power-hungry, knows China is possibly endangering the U.S'es status as a superpower..
like all bullies' he is likely to pick on the wrong people, you do realize....that the chinese army can stand in a line down the borders between them and mongolia?
as for WMD'S

I think Bush is likely to pick out the wrong fight this time round.
