I remember having a dream a while ago. Its been on my mind quite alot. I cant remember all the details but I remember most of them. So here goes.

I was at this building and it had a large hall. The hall was quite old looking. Even though it had been modernised it still had an old victorian feel about it. In this hall there were loads of people sleeping in sleeping bags and on air beds. I walked into this hall and was sitting by my bed and was talking to a friend. Now this friend was someone who I had never meet before but it felt like we had known each other a long time. We left the building and the next thing I remember I am in a classroom. Now the class room looked alot like my old infant school classroom except it was modern and had a big white board and wierd seats like you see at the UN meetings. In this class there were a few people again who I was friends with but didnt recognise any of them. Then all of a sudden there was this girl. She was just the essence of beauty(well i thought so) and she was almost glowing a white colour. The only thing is I cant remember what her face looked like and im usualy good with faces in dreams etc. Anyway I was in love with her and she was in love with me. It felt amazing as if we had been in love for an age. There was also a longing feeling there aswell as if I longed for her. Even though no words were really spoke between us I knew that she had to go somewhere and she knew that I had to go somewhere..wake up perhaps?.

She ended up leaving the classroom and I was looking at her and before I knew it she was gone. There was no kiss goodbye no hug she just looked at me and said goodbye. The feeling was so loving that it made me feel soo warm inside. Next thing I remember Im back at this building but everyone is locked out and its nighttime. So I climbed up onto a ledge and took some screws out of a panel and managed to get the doors open somehow. Thats pretty much the dream but when I woke up I missed this girl soo much. It was heart breaking. And to top it off I felt guilty as hell because I was with my long term girlfriend of 3 years at the time.(Im not with her anymore).

Sorry for the long post hehe, any replys would be welcome so please feel free to state your opinion!.

Best wishes!
Matt!

Your subconscious mind may be wondering why your conscious mind has not really committed to a decision your subconscious mind is trying to make, but it cannot make such a decision without the conscious mind, which by it's very nature is always looking outwards, not inwards, hence part of the reason there is a need to sleep in the first place (my opinion).

What decision is your subconscious trying to get you to ponder?

Perhaps the choice to reserve all your love for only 1 individual, or choose to love all equally and balanced.

The symbolism in the dream is dependent somewhat upon how your mind integrated and integrates (learns) things throught the process of association.

So what are the KEY ingredients to the dream?

1) Large old hall, fixed up
2) Alot of people who are not awake
3) a classroom / school / learning
4) the most beautiful girl in the world, with no face. Was she brunnette?
5) The people who were sleeping are locked outside somehow, and you work to let them in.

Interesting dream. These things could signify some different things to people, but what is important is what the key factors of the dream mean to you personally.

I would guess the classroom is symbolic of learning or school, being a student.

I would guess the girl represents love, or lust (considering you knew she was hot, but not what her face looked like)

I would guess the people who were asleep and who were later locked out represent numbers, or a group of people you feel you need to, want to, or your subconscious mind believes you have strengths within which can help others. Perhaps your subconscious just wants to know what your conscious mind would choose, if it had a choice. Help many strangers who are also familiar friends, or long to stay with the one girl from the dream.

Just some thoughts.

I'd like to spend a bit of time with a proto-Jungian analysis. . . .

1). Buildings often represent the self, particularly if it's a house. Yours wasn't; it was an institution--maybe the school you go to, or the circle of friends you hang out with.

On the other hand, my instinct is to say the building DOES represent your psyche. The sleeping people is a cry from your subconscious: the sleeper must awaken, the unused faculties you possess are there, lined up in rows to serve you, but they are all napping. There might be something to this if you feel that you're just kind of floating through life, and are missing out on the big picture, or that you're just killing time instead of making the intellectual and spiritual growth expected of you.

Jung believed that heterosexual males often dream of a female dressed in white, sort of the long-lost love you never knew you were missing. Jung's term for this figure is the "Anima," which is merely the latin word for the Soul. Males dream of a feminine soul, while females dream of a masculine one, their "animus."

The anima is sort of your higher self; union with her would be more than merely sexual, but a "step up" to a higher level of consciousness. In many dreams, she either wanders off, or is kidnapped and must be rescued. A lot of dream portray the dreamer in a quest to find her. The fact that you are searching for her in an academic setting, where many of your "selves" are asleep suggests (to me, at least) your feeling that your waking, academic life is "soul-less," and your desire to find a higher meaning in it.

Joseph Campbell took Jungs work on the anima and studied it in world literature and myth. The prototypical "damsel in distress" is a figure of the anima.

Think of Princess Liea, in white. "Obiwan Kenobi; you're my only hope." That vision launches Luke, the boy hero, on his quest that ultimately proves to be a quest for his own self.

Don't be surprised, when you get alone and amorous with your anima, that you discover that "she is your sister." Meaning of course, that your yearning for her is at core not sexual, but soul-full. But that's another dream sequence.

I'd be interested to know if this sounds like total garbage, or anything hits . . .

all the best.

When you said about 'killing time instead of making the spiritual and intelectual growth excpeted of me', that hit home big time. To be honest I do feel alot of the time that I am not making the most of my self.

This has given me something to think about!

Thank you guys.

This represents the spiritual state of the earth. It is a place where souls wait for the Gods to come take them home. The person you were talking to there is your earth guardian. Each person gets an earth guardian when they are born and they stay with us till we depart from the earth.

We left the building and the next thing I remember I am in a classroom. Now the class room looked alot like my old infant school classroom except it was modern and had a big white board and wierd seats like you see at the UN meetings. In this class there were a few people again who I was friends with but didnt recognise any of them.

This is the purpose of your life. You came to earth to learn while your spiritual family watched you. This is why the U.N seats were there. They represent the fact that beings from strange foreign places are watching you closely while you are at the earth school. The school was your infant school to represent that the schooling started from the beginning of your life.

This is your spiritual guardian who takes care of your actual soul body while your astral form is in the earth school. She was letting you know she loves you and you belong to each other. She showed you that she had to leave while you were at the earth school. You can contact her through meditation and telepathy but you will possibly also be contacting your earth guardian that I mentioned earlier.

This is saying that the earth realm is a dark locked up place which is very difficult for the higher spiritual beings to get into.

So basically I believe that this dream was given by your soul guardian to let you know that you are in a state of waiting, and you are in a school world with an earth guardian, while beings from other realities including your loving soul guardian watch you closely.
