League sources have confirmed that Junior Seau, who announced his retirement from the NFL just three days ago, will fly to New England on Thursday night and likely sign with the Patriots as early as Friday, according to a report by the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The answer to that question is, "No, he cannot help them enough to offset BOTH of those losses." But if he can help enough to offset EITHER loss, this will be a great acquisition.
