Two goals from veteran centre-back Efe Sodje helped Yeovil secure the Coca-Cola League Two title with a 3-0 win over Lincoln at Huish Park.

The Glovers were not even guaranteed automatic promotion before kick-off but topped the division thanks to the Nigeria international's brace and a penalty from Phil Jevons after Darren Way was fouled in the box.

Joining Gary Johnson's side in League One next season are S#horpe and Swansea.

The Iron drew 0-0 at Shrewsbury to take second place while Swansea beat Bury 1-0 at Gigg Lane thanks to Adrian Forbes' goal inside half a minute, with some Swans fans invading the pitch in their excitement.

Southend, third before kick-off, were the team to lose out as they could only draw 1-1 at Grimsby. Freddy Eastwood cancelled out Michael Reddy's 57th-minute overhead kick for the home side but Swansea's win meant they went straight up.

Southend now face the play-offs, where they will be joined by Northampton, who secured the fourth spot in the post-season competition with a 3-0 win over already-relegated Kidderminster. It took the Cobblers until the 68th minute to break through thanks to Andy Kirk, and a double from Josh Low sealed the win.

Macclesfield took fifth, leapfrogging Lincoln with a 1-0 victory at home to Rushden as Jon Parkin turned in the only goal on the hour-mark, arriving at the far post to turn in Kevin McIntyre's cross.

Darlington did all they could to reach the play-offs by beating Cheltenham 3-1 but lost out to Northampton due to inferior goal difference. Damian Spencer's 29th-minute goal for Cheltenham made it an inauspicious start for the Quakers but Jonjo Dickman levelled two minutes before the break and late goals from Neil Wainwright and Akpo Sodje gave them the win that was ultimately in vain.

New Oxford manager Brian Talbot watched his team lose 1-0 at home to Chester, Ryan Lowe scoring the only goal as David Oldfield oversaw first-team affairs for the Us before Talbot formally takes over on Monday.

A Gary Alexander double helped Leyton Orient beat Mansfield 2-1 at Brisbane Road and climb above the Stags into 11th, while Cambridge's last game before demotion to the Nationwide Conference ended goalless against Notts County.

Bristol Rovers, beaten just once at home in the league this season, finished off with a 1-0 win over Wycombe sealed by Richard Walker's 12th-minute header while Boston and Rochdale drew 1-1 at York Street.
