Landon Donovan's second stay in Germany could be brief.
A Kicker magazine article published Thursday in Germany reported Donovan was returning to MLS, and the Los Angeles Times quoted sources in its Friday editions as saying Donovan could be in a Galaxy uniform in time for the team's season opener at Columbus on April 2.
The Los Angeles Galaxy signed forward Landon Donovan to a multi-year contract on Thursday.
The 23-year-old is happy to be back in Major League Soccer after a spending three disappointing months with Bayer Leverkusen. Donovan asked to leave the Bundesliga squad after he was unhappy with his role and the team granted his wishes on Thursday.
