Just when you thought it couldn't get any more intense, the Red Sox/Yankees rivalry keeps heating up...

Kevin Millar became the latest Boston player to sling mud at Alex Rodriguez when he reportedly called the pretty boy punching bag a "Million Dollar Baby." Not to be outdone, A-Rod slung back, allegedly dubbing his accusers "The In-credibles." Indeed, not since the mainstream introduction of male hand lotion has humor been this topical...

There's already an MVP (best actor), a coach of the year (best director), and even a sixth man (best supporting actor). So where's the comeback actor of the year on Oscar night? I'm thinking John Travolta in Pulp Fiction, Pam Grier in Jackie Brown. After all, redemption songs never fall on deaf ears in an industry obsessed with happy endings...

As Hillary Swank rose to accept her best actress award, the Oscars voiceover lady was quick to remind us that the star of Million Dollar Baby was the first female to be nominated as a boxer. According to a recent study, elderly women and young children are the second and third most susceptible groups to wallet theft in the United States. Dallas quarterback Drew Bledsoe - representing his own demographic - was ranked first. The reason? Poor pocket presence...

But I think that's only common sense...

Amid the heated steroid debate sweeping the nation, many confused Pacers fans believe the Conseco Fieldhouse should be renamed, or at the very least asterisked...

Red Sox ace Curt Schilling - who's recovering from off-season ankle surgery - was the big story out of spring training last week, throwing 47 pitches off the mound. Meanwhile, healthy slugger David Ortiz hit 47 balls off a tee to markedly less fanfare...

He might sound like a country singer, but Villanova junior Allen Ray is arguably the sharpest shooting guard in the Big East since Ray Allen himself. As a junior at UConn, Allen shot 81 percent from the line and 47.2 percent from the field, including 46.6 percent from three. Ray, on the other hand, is shooting 83.1 percent from the line, 45.3 from the field, and 42.1 from three. I'm Dean Christopher...
