EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (Jan. 14, 2005) -- Randy Moss returned to practice with the Minnesota Vikings, and he moved around well on his sprained right
ankle despite some soreness.
Moss, listed as probable for the Jan. 16 divisional playoff game at Philadelphia, was held out of practice the previous two days to rest.
"He looked great," Vikings coach Mike Tice said. "He didn't have a hitch in his giddy-up, so that was good."
Cornerback Antoine Winfield, one of Minnesota's most valuable defensive players, was given a rest from practice and added to the injury report as
He left the facility with a protective boot on the left ankle he sprained Dec. 5, an injury that caused him to miss two games and play sparingly in
two others. But Winfield said he was just a little sore and that he was certain to play against the Eagles.
Running back Moe Williams (questionable with a sprained right ankle) hasn't practiced all week and will be a game-time decision, though Tice said he
doesn't think the Vikings have to worry about him not playing a limited role unless he has a setback.
Strong safety Corey Chavous will miss the game with a broken left elbow.
