Police say they caught two-time Gold medalist Angelo Taylor in the back seat of a sport-utility vehicle with a 15-year-old girl.

DeKalb County police said they found Taylor, 26, and the 15-year-old naked in the SUV parked at Fork Creek Mountain Park, located at 2835 River Road, in Ellenwood, Ga. Police said Taylor was aware of the girl's age.

"According to the police report Mr. Taylor stated to the officer that he was aware that the child was 15 years of age," said Officer Dale Davis.

The girl's guardian, her sister, told police that she had informed Taylor of the girl's true age. However, the police report states that Taylor told the officer that the girl told him her guardian was lying and that she was of legal age. About 12:48 a.m. Wednesday, a uniformed police officer came across Taylor and the teenager in the rear backseat of a black GMC Yukon parked in a parking lot, according to Officer Davis. The officer arrested Taylor, who’s now charged with child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes, Davis said. Taylor appeared before a judge Thursday night and has been freed on bond.

The girl has been returned to the custody of her guardian and was issued a citation for being in the park after dark. Taylor competed in the 2004 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials. He finished second in the 400 hurdles during the U.S. Track and Field trials to win a spot at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Taylor scored his first two golds while competing in the 2000 Olympic Games at Sydney, Australia. The track-and-field star earned gold medals in the 400-meter hurdles and the 4x400-meter relay.

A graduate of Southwest DeKalb High School, Taylor faced controversy in 2004 when Olympic officials threatened to strip him of one of his 2000 gold medals because of doping allegations made against a teammate. The International Association of Athletics Federations recommended that Taylor's 1,600-meter relay team be stripped of its 2000 Olympic gold because teammate Jerome Young had a positive doping test in 1999. Taylor also attended Morris Brown College and competed in athletics at Georgia Tech.
