Joe Calzaghe has postponed his latest WBO super-middleweight title defence scheduled for Manchester's MEN Arena on February 11.
Calzaghe has asked for more time to prepare and is set to return in March, so next month's bill will now be topped by home city favourite Michael
Gomez in a WBU super-featherweight title defence.
It is still hoped a number of top amateurs will fight on the same card, possibly including Olympic silver medallist Amir Khan.
Promoter Frank Warren was meeting Amateur Boxing Association officials this week to discuss potential difficulties, including the imminent
commencement of this year's ABA Championships.
Gomez said he was delighted to be topping the bill at such a major venue as he seeks to build on his new lease of life as champion.
