Inverness Caledonian Thistle's stay at Pittodrie ended on a sour note as Danny Invincibile's two goals gave Kilmarnock a 2-0 victory over Craig Brewster's men.

Invincibile gave his side the lead 11 minutes from time when he picked up a loose ball on the right-hand side of the penalty area and simply lashed an angled effort home. And the former Swindon striker sealed the win in the dying seconds by diverting a Gary Lock through-ball past the despairing Mark Brown. Caley, who were unbeaten in five home games before Killie's visit, are still hovering above Dundee, Livingston and Dundee United, but are now seven points adrift of the men from Ayrshire.

In the day's other game, Aberdeen missed their chance to go back into third after a disappointing 0-0 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park. The Pittodrie men had the best of an uninspiring first half but missed a couple of good chances through strikers Darren Mackie and Richard Foster. After the interval, however, there was little between the teams, almost no goalmouth incidents and in the end, a point apiece was no more than either side deserved.
