Rookie Craig Krenzel will make his first NFL start Sunday night for the Chicago Bears when they face the San Francisco 49ers at Soldier Field.

Krenzel played the second half in last week's 19-9 loss to Tampa Bay after relieving Jonathan Quinn and completed 9-of-19 passes for 69 yards with an interception and also guided the Bears to their only touchdown.

Krenzel, who led Ohio State to an unbeaten national championship season in 2002 and was 24-3 as a Buckeyes' starter, said he's ready to play.

"It's definitely much faster than college, but I feel comfortable," he said.

Quinn started three games and struggled after replacing Rex Grossman when he suffered a season-ending knee injury in the third week.
