DENVER -- Starting running backs Quentin Griffin of the Broncos and Stephen Davis of the Panthers both were inactive for Sunday's game.
Davis, whose knee started hurting after the first game of the season, said last week that only "a hurricane, maybe a tornado or something" would keep
him out of the game. For the third consecutive game, DeShaun Foster was to start in his place.
Griffin injured his ankle last week and was limited in practice. Reuben Droughns was to get the start for the Broncos.
