NEW ORLEANS -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Chris Simms hurt his left shoulder when he was sacked Sunday by Saints defensive lineman Will
Smith.
The New Orleans rookie sacked Simms with 42 seconds left in the first quarter. Simms fumbled on the play and Smith was penalized for unnecessary
roughness.
The left-handed Simms, making his first NFL start in his second pro season, went to the sideline holding his arm. He was taken to the locker room to
be checked.
Brian Griese replaced Simms.
