TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals activated defensive tackle Wendell Bryant off the suspended list.
The move, which had been expected, followed a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Bryant was arrested on a drunken-driving charge in Madison, Wis., on June 27. He had been suspended since Sept. 6.
The Cardinals released defensive tackle John Nix to make room for Bryant.
Nix, claimed off waivers from Cleveland two days after Bryant was suspended, played only one game -- Oct. 3 against New Orleans.
