Newz Forum: FOOTBALL: Pringle breaks CFL rushing record

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) Mike Pringle broke George Reed's Canadian Football League career rushing record Saturday night, running for 63 yards in the Edmonton Eskimos' 36-33 overtime loss to the British Columbia Lions.

The 36-year-old Pringle, who entered the game a yard short of Reed's mark of 16,116 yards, broke the record with a 10-yard run early in the first quarter. Pringle finished the game with 16,178 yards in 13 seasons.

Reed played for Saskatchewan from 1963-75.
