There have been discussions between the Miami Dolphins, Tennessee Titans and the NFL about possibly postponing Sunday's season opener in Miami depending on the path of Hurricane Ivan, according to the Miami Herald.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello and an unnamed Dolphins spokesman reportedly said the team is "monitoring" the situation. However, The Herald said it is possible the game could be moved. But it is unlikely the Titans will host it because the Dolphins do not want to lose a home game.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars open the season on the road, making their stadiums available.

The Titans and Dolphins have bye weeks back to back, with the Titans on Nov. 7 and the Dolphins on Nov. 14. That makes a Thursday game a possibility.

I just heard on sportscenter that they'll be playing on Saturday.

What will the next hurricane to hit Florida be called?
