Looks like the prosecution may be ready to drop the criminal case against Kobe. There is no word yet on the civil case. The US justice system is interesting. Regardless of Kobe's innocence or not, the justice system seems to lean towards those that do not have questional backgrounds and more money. We have not heard the last of this issue, but more than likely Kobe will not be serving any jail time.

Associated Press
EAGLE, Colo. (AP) - The Kobe Bryant case was thrown into doubt Wednesday as the judge held a hastily called courtroom session amid media reports the prosecution wants to drop the felony sexual assault charge against the NBA star.

District Attorney Mark Hurlbert scheduled a late afternoon news conference, then canceled it to attend the court session, which stretched into Wednesday evening without word of a decision. His spokeswoman declined comment before that, as did attorneys for the 20-year-old accuser. Defense attorneys did not return calls seeking comment.

Comments:
Sigh. We will never know the truth. Why do I have a feeling that Kobe will be living with this the rest of his life.

Only he knows what he has done. Sigh of relief for him, but if he did do it he has to live with it like you said crayon

looks like the criminal case has been officially dropped, teh civil case will go on

Bryant sex charge dismissed
A judge has dismissed the sexual assault charge against NBA star Kobe Bryant, less than a week before opening statements were set to begin, but a civil case brought by his accuser will go ahead, CNN confirms. Married Bryant admitted having a sexual encounter with his then-19-year-old accuser but he says the encounter was consensual.
