Macomb, IL (Sports Network) - St. Louis Rams defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy suffered a broken foot on Thursday and could miss the season.
Kennedy, the Rams' top draft pick last year, was hurt during a non-contact drill when he planted his foot while trying to make a cut. Tests after
practice revealed the severity of the injury.
Surgery is planned for the Penn State product, and he is expected to miss at least three months.
Kennedy was the 12th overall pick of the 2003 draft and didn't make much of an impact his rookie season. He did not record a sack and posted just 10
tackles in 13 games.
