The WBA light-welterweight champion Vivian Harris has turned down the chance to fight Briton Ricky Hatton.
Following a disagreement over money with Harris, promoter Frank Warren had agreed to meet a £120,000 shortfall himself for a 2 October fight.
But Harris' promoters Main Events have told Warren the WBA light-welterweight champion has opted not to fight Hatton in England.
Warren said: "We've done everything in our power to make this fight happen."
Warren added: "After all the trash Harris has talked and the financial demands he has made - which I met he now says he doesn't want to fight
Ricky."
Hatton said: "Where else will Harris get that kind of purse? He's not a name or a draw and the reason he was getting that purse was because of my
name."
