Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - The Atlanta Thrashers have agreed to terms with restricted free agent center Marc Savard. Details of the contract were
not released.
Savard played in just 45 games last season because of injuries, but was Atlanta's fourth-leading scorer with 52 points. He scored 19 goals and added
33 assists.
The 27-year-old native of Ottawa, Ontario ranked third on the team in goals and was fourth in assists.
In 421 games with the New York Rangers, Calgary and Atlanta, Savard has 105 goals and 199 assists for 304 points.
The Thrashers also agreed to terms with defensemen Tomas Kloucek and Kyle Rossiter.
Kloucek split last season with Atlanta and Nashville, posting one assist in 42 combined games. Rossiter played in six games with Atlanta and Florida
last season, notching one assist.
Atlanta also agreed to terms with center Derek MacKenzie, who had one assist in 12 games with the Thrashers last year, while minor league players Luke
Sellars and Brian Maloney also agreed to contracts with the club.
