Nashville, TN (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with defensive back Scott McGarrahan and third-round pick Randy Starks.

McGarrahan joined Tennessee just before last season's opener and played in all 16 games. He finished with 27 tackles and one sack, plus led the team in special teams tackles with 24.

"Scott proved his worth to us last year," said Titans general manager Floyd Reese. "He showed the ability to help us as a back-up safety, to play in the nickel and dime packages and of course make his biggest impact on special teams."

McGarrahan has also played for Green Bay and Miami in six NFL seasons.

Starks, a defensive tackle from Maryland, was chosen with the 71st overall pick of last April's draft. He had 17 1/2 sacks and 34 tackles for loss during his three seasons with the Terrapins.

The Titans also waived undrafted rookie guard Chris Frank.
