South Korean Injin Chi stopped Eiichi Sugama in the 10th round to defend his WBC featherweight crown.
The 31-year-old cornered his Japanese foe after nine tough rounds and floored him with a right uppercut.
Although Sugama got up, he then collapsed under a barrage of punches to the delight of the Seoul crowd.
Chi knocked out Briton Michael Brodie in April to win the vacant WBC belt and is South Korea's only world champion in professional boxing.
