The Star-Telegram's Art Garcia reports that the Magic could trade Drew Gooden and Andrew DeClercq to the Mavericks for Jerry Stackhouse or Christian Laettner.

Nets still in hunt for Abdur-Rahim

The Blazers may have resumed talks with the Nets about a deal involving Shareef Abdur-Rahim. The Oregonian's Jason Quick reports that the Blazers could also target Trenton Hassell, Wesley Person, Eric Williams or Steven Hunter

Agent hopes meeting will help get Crawford deal done

Newsday's Greg Logan reports that Jamal Crawford's agent is hoping to set up a face-to-face meeting between Knicks president Isiah Thomas and Bulls GM John Paxson. The Knicks would like to work out a sign-and-trade deal for Crawford, but have yet to agree with the Bulls on the players that would be involved.

Heat not Horry's only option

Although the Heat are interested in Robert Horry, his agent told the Herald's Stephen F. Holder that the Spurs forward is "exploring a couple serious options". The Heat could also make a bid for Karl Malone.

What's the point of Walker in Philadelphia? There's no reason to put a shoot-first guy on a team that already has one, especially after seeing his disaster of a season with the Mavericks last year.

He's overpaid to boot. The only reason to get him would be to bite the bullet for a season and keep him and his problems, then with his contract expiring be in better position for free agency the next year.

But Allen Iverson isn't getting any younger...

I agree, they need a guy that can complement Allen's game, not conflict with it. They need a good point guard now they lost Eric Snow and a big body down low.
